ATHENS, GREECE (NOVEMBER 10, 2022) — The Greek National Opera (GNO) presents a new production of Ludwig Minkus’ Don Quixote choreographed by Thiago Bordin based on the original choreography by Marius Petipa first presented in 1869 at the Bolshoi. The production, which runs for seven performances between November 26–December 31 at GNO’s Stavros Niarchos Hall at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, is conducted by Stathis Soulis, with sets by George Souglides and costumes by fashion designer Mary Katrantzou. This production is made possible by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) [www.SNF.org] to enhance the GNO’s artistic outreach.
