Pianist Stephen Hough Performs Chopin, Schumann, Rawsthorne, and His Own Partita in Recital at Caramoor, Sunday, November 14 at 3:00 p.m.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK (November 1, 2021) — Pianist Stephen Hough returns to Caramoor for a solo recital on Sunday, November 14 at 3:00 p.m. that includes works by Schumann and Chopin, the subjects of his two most recent recordings (released September 3 and October 29, respectively). He also performs his own five-movement Partita, composed in 2019 on commission from the Naumburg Foundation, and English composer Alan Rawsthorne’s Bagatelleswritten in 1938 with a dedication to Mr. Hough’s main piano teacher, Gordon Green. The recital is held in the Music Room of Caramoor’s historic Rosen House. Additional North American performances of this recital program, in slightly expanded form, take place in CincinnatiTorontoMiami, and New Orleans.
