Featuring works by Jessie Montgomery, Xavier Foley, Andrea Casarrubios, and more, the tour program, “Tracing Visions,” sets out to challenge and evolve the classical canon with music that celebrates the rich history of America as a place where differences can be overcome and diverse communities can unite under a shared identity. The Sphinx Virtuosi is part of the Sphinx Organization, the social justice organization dedicated to transforming lives through the power of diversity in the arts.

Tour dates include University of Madison, WI on September 30, UNSCA in Winston-Salem, NC on October 5, University of North Carolina in Greensboro, NC on October 8, Chamber Music Pittsburgh on October 11, Cleveland Institute of Music on October 12, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society on October 14, Carnegie Hall in New York, NY on October 15, George Mason University’s Center for the Arts in Fairfax, VA on October 17, and the Colburn School in Los Angeles, CA on October 30. Many of the presenting organizations are partners in Sphinx’s wide-reaching education and outreach programs with several tour dates including masterclasses with Virtuosi members.
